You have been directed to this page to obtain the form and instructions required for approval to enter the United States Naval Academy complex (USNA) as a Naval Academy Club Member. The 5512 Form must be completed unless you possess a Military ID (Active Duty, Retired, Dependent, or Reservist), a Common Access Card (CAC), or another valid credential that allows you to drive onto the USNA complex.

However, for Commissioning Week 2025, First class Midshipmen have escort privileges, meaning they can drive their parents and guests on as long as they are under the escort supervision until departing.

In accordance with the REAL ID Act of 2005, enforcement of REAL ID to access USNA and NSA Annapolis will go into effect on 07 May 2025.

  • Starting May 7, 2025, NSA Annapolis and USNA will require REAL ID-compliant credentials for visitors entering through Pedestrian Gate 1 Visitor Control Center, per the REAL ID Act.
  • Accepted IDs at Gate 1: REAL ID driver’s license/state ID, U.S. Passport, or Enhanced Driver’s License (MI, MN, NY, VT, WA).
  • Note: This does NOT affect credentialed personnel with accepted DoD Identifications (CAC, DBIDS, dependents, retirees, retiree dependents, etc.), and this should not affect those who plan to park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and take a bus to the Yard (campus).
  • Visitors accessing the installation who have been vetted through the Special Event Visitor Access Request, Direct Access or other official means (with timely notification) will be allowed access.
  • USNA Security will promulgate a site for more information and frequently asked questions soon.
