Mission Statement
Your USNA Dream Wedding!
Celebrate your special moment where the land leads to the beautiful sea, where midshipmen have transformed into America’s leaders, and where you and your significant other can begin your married life together in charming and spirited elegance.
Eligible brides and grooms (U.S. Naval Academy alumnus, military staff, faculty member, or local active duty military member) may host a breathtaking wedding at the any of the USNA Chapels, followed by a reception at the Naval Academy Club, or at many of the other venues on the Yard. Add to the legacy and tradition of the Naval Academy with your wedding vows. Be a part of our history.
To ease the planning of your special day, choose from our Approved Business Partner list and contact our Wedding Coordinators to guide you through your event.
Best wishes!

Policies
NABSD, a non-appropriated funded instrumentality, takes on responsibilities for scheduling, conducting the rehearsal, coordinating vehicle access, and other necessary event-related actions. Review current chapel eligibility guidelines here.
- Weddings in the Brigade of Midshipmen Chapel are scheduled up to one year in advance.
- A $1,000 fee is assessed by NABSD for the services rendered during weddings.
- Use of the Chapel is limited to non-married Naval Academy alumni, military staff and faculty, active-duty military assigned to Naval Support Activity Annapolis, and active-duty military in the Chapel’s immediate vicinity who regularly attend services.
- Couples must have completed pre-marital counseling before getting married in the Chapel. Pre-marital counseling arrangements should be coordinated locally, and a certificate of completion is required.
- Detailed information on the Roman Catholic Sacrament of Marriage can be found on provided links.
- Full nuptial Masses are available for couples not previously married, including civilly married couples.
- Questions about ceremonial swords, wear, and sword arches can be addressed by referencing Marine Corps Order 5060.20, The Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual. Chapter 5, the Sword Manual, provides useful information for Naval Officers and NCOs as they plan their weddings.
